GRP – glass reinforced plastic, also called FRP or composite – is a strong, lightweight alternative to cast iron and steel for manhole and access covers. It does not rust, it does not conduct electricity, and it has no scrap value, so it is not a target for theft. GRP cover or GRP seal plate?
A GRP cover is the top cover that people walk on. A GRP seal plate sits below the main cover and gives a second, airtight and watertight seal that stops odours and gases. Yes, when they are specified for the load. Tell us where the cover goes and whether vehicles will cross it, and we will recommend the right design.
Can GRP covers be made in custom sizes?
Yes. Covers and seal plates are made to your clear openings, including large multi-panel openings.
What colours are available?
Grey is standard; other gel-coat colours can be supplied on request.
