Run a channel across the bottom of the ramp, with a heavy-duty grating where vehicles cross.
Parking bays and aisles
Place floor drains or gullies at the low points, with floors laid to fall towards them.

Sand traps catch grit from tyres before it blocks the pipes.

Design stage vs fit-out
At design stage, fix the floor falls, outlet positions and channel runs. At handover, flow-test every drain, check that gratings are locked and fill the trap seals.
Wash-down and fire tests
Basements see large, short bursts of water from wash-down and fire-system tests. Channels, drains and traps must be sized to take those flows without flooding.

Stainless steel for exposed, high-traffic areas; PVC traps for concealed drainage points.
Do you supply basement pumps?
No. We supply the drains, channels, gratings and traps.
How many floor drains does a car park need?
It depends on the floor area, falls and drainage design. Send us your drawings and we will propose the products.
Do odour traps dry out in basements?
They can in hot, rarely washed areas. Choose deep-seal traps and top them up with water during maintenance.
